Restoring History, Restoring Pride in Grimsby and Lincolnshire
About us
WE’RE ALL MADE
BY HISTORY
The Heritage Project is on a mission to protect and care for the rich heritage of Great Grimsby and Lincolnshire. We’re a sum of our parts: a collection of businesses, community leaders, local authority members and interested individuals. Together, we have a passion to preserve our history to:
Rescue important assets
Understand where we came from
Promote positive cultural diversity

LATEST HERITAGE PROJECT
GRIM & HAVELOCK
The Heritage Project has been awarded £100K by The National Lottery Heritage Fund to restore the historic Grim and Havelock statue which sat for many years on a plinth outside The Grimsby Institute. The project, spearheaded by Jill and Tracy at The Equality Practice along with Dale and Darren from turntable gallery, is part of a campaign to promote positivity around immigration and inclusion in the area.
MORE ABOUT THE PROJECT
There is no power for change greater than a community discovering what it cares about.
